Imperial Events Security Services (IESS) is currently accepting applications for the position of Event Operations Supervisor. Our Event Operations Supervisors are dedicated to executing IESS's mission of providing outstanding customer service to the attendees, guests, and participants of the many events we secure. Event Supervisors achieve their objective by ensuring each Event Security Officer remains committed to executing their responsibilities during each and every shift. The Event Supervisor is a mid-level management position responsible for overseeing and managing a staff of up to 100 Event Security Officers per shift. The Event Supervisor is tasked with being the primary IESS representative during their shift and is responsible for interacting with event staff, venue personnel, public safety personnel, among others.


Event Supervisors may be asked to perform several essential functions at their assigned location. The list below is not meant to be an exhaustive list of essential functions.
  • Greet and interact with guests in an upbeat, friendly, and personable manner
  • Patrol the facility on foot in order to inspect and check on each Event Security Officer
  • Answer phones, assist guests and client representatives as needed
  • Respond to, report, and document any incidents or issues of which you become aware
  • Provide outstanding customer service to everyone you come into contact with during each and every shift
  • Be the liaison between IESS and event staff, venue staff, and others
  • Always make decisions that benefit IESS
  • Manage each shift as the highest-ranking IESS employee on site
  • Be accountable for business decisions that are made in the course of the supervisory duties
  • Effectively manage payroll, overtime, and other key budget items 
  • Attend all required trainings and meetings as directed by the Operations Manager
  • Adequately handle, report, and document all security issues and emergency situations at your location
  • Be able and willing to become certified in site-specific trainings
  • Have full knowledge of the venues in which IESS operates
  • Be able to effectively communicate via two-way radio device to IESS staff, event staff, venue staff, and others
  • Be able to multi-task effectively
  • Be able to prioritize situations and tasks
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing 
  • Must have a clean criminal history
  • Must be drug-free
  • Must have a flexible schedule which includes working nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift (up to 12 hours)
  • Must have at least 3 years experience in the security, customer service, or hospitality fields
  • Must have at least 1 years experience managing others directly
  • Neat and professional appearance
  • Upbeat, friendly, and personable demeanor
  • Must be able to handle urgent situations with calm and poise
  • A valid drivers license is preferred but not required
